iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — If you’ve run out of gift ideas for the precious little ones in your family, look no further than the hottest gift trends for holiday presents they’ll remember.

But hurry…shipping windows are closing fast.

First in trends: The gift of experiences.

Minimalism is all the rage and more and more parents are requesting that instead of a pile of tangible presents, family and friends gift their children experiences instead. So think an art or music class or tickets to a show.

StubHub, the ticket resale giant, told ABC News that in a survey of users, it found that 70 percent of people would rather get concert tickets than a gift certificate to their favorite store.

Next, gifts that give back.

If you’re looking for a gift that keeps on giving for your little love, look no further than Cuddle and Kind. The collection of dolls is fair trade and hand knit by artisans in Peru. Each doll purchase provides 10 meals to hungry children; the company has donated nearly 3 million meals so far.

Finally, the gift of empathy.

Empathy can be a tough thing to teach this time of year when everything seems to be about material things. But Fisher-Price, the toy giant, knows how important empathy is for kids and has revamped its always-popular Little People collection to have a variety of facial expressions rather than the same one on all figures. The accessories that accompany the sets are themed with lessons on sharing, helping others and good manners.

And if it’s a book you’d like to give, check out We’re All Wonders. Millions of people have been inspired to #ChooseKind from the best-selling book “Wonder,” and this version for the younger set gets kids started on that noble mission early. The book features the adventures of Auggie Pullman and his dog, Daisy.
