With tensions heightened after the Florida school shootings, Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies are called twice to a local middle school.
Investigators say a boy activated a fire alarm at High Desert Middle School.
About 20 minutes later, deputies returned to the school to deal with a different boy who they say, quote: “engaged in inappropriate behavior among his peers, which caused them concern.”
