Two young men filed complaints with the State of Oregon against Fred Meyer and Bi-Mart because the stores won’t sell them gun or ammunition due to their age.
State civil rights laws don’t allow retailers to discriminate against adults on the basis of age.
The two Oregon-based chains no longer allow the sale of guns and ammunition to people under the age of 21.
Walmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods’ are also facing legal action over similar policies.
