Shots rang out in Bend’s Sawyer Park, leading to the arrest of a convicted felon.

Police say they responded to the Northwest Bend Park last night after receiving several calls about gunshots.

KTVZ reports they used a drone to track down Anthony Paxton.

The 43-year-old homeless man told them he was shooting at cans.

Paxton is a convicted felon not allowed to possess a gun or the type of knives police say he had on him.

Bend police are urging people who live in the area to check their cars and homes for damage.
