BEND, OR — Opponents of OSU’s new Bend campus filed an appeal Monday, asking the city council to take another look at the proposed Westside location. Bend City Councilors could choose to not hear the appeal, and allow the state land-use board to rule. At odds is the 10.4-acre location recently approved by a city hearings officer. In its 17-page notice of appeal, the group Truth in Site laid out 20 issues and numerous errors they claim were made by the hearings officer. The group’s complaints range from zoning discrepancies to parking. They hope the city will step in as a matter of “significant public policy.”
City Councilors are scheduled to decide whether to hear the appeal, during their Wednesday night meeting at City Hall.
