Officer Involved Shooting

Salem, Ore. – Oregon State Police (OSP) has requested the Marion County Sheriff’s Office lead the investigation into an OSP officer involved shooting that occurred near Aumsville just off Mill Creek Road. No one was injured as a pursuit, which started on I-5 near the Linn/Marion County line, ended after shots were fired.

Additional details will be released when they become available but the suspect in this incident has been arrested and no risk to the public is present.

Any further releases will be coordinated with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Marion County District Attorney.
