Bend’s Third St. Underpass To Close Thursday Evening

3rd Street Underpass STOCKBEND, OR — The City of Bend will close the 3rd St. underpass Thursday evening to wrap up several projects from last summer’s reconstruction effort.  Ryan Oster, project manager, told KBNW News they will put in permanent striping among other things.  The project means the closure of 3rd St. between NE Burnside Ave. and SE Davis Ave. from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

“[We] ask commuters for their patience as we get through this one more night of closure and hopefully we can get the project all completely buttoned up and we won’t have to close it any more and this upcoming work.”

Oster said during the 12-hour project, traffic will be moved to last summer’s detour, from NE Franklin Ave. to NE 8th St. to SE Wilson Ave.
