Bend Metro Parks Receives Grants
BEND, OR -- The Bend Metro Parks and Recreation District will receive a boost from the state Parks and Recreation Department's 2010 round of lottery-supported grants. OPRD is distributing $1.6 million in matching grants statewide. The Bend District will receive $250,000 for the Miller Landing Acquisition. Grants will also pay for facility improvements in Hood River, Mill City, Stayton, Forest Grove, Gresham and Stayton.
OPRD has awarded $49.6 million to help fund nearly 351 projects throughout the state since 1999.
