Wyden Support Passes 50% Mark
BEND, OR -- According to the latest Rasmussen poll, Senator Ron Wyden has surpassed the 50% support mark this month in his reelection bid. The Democrat leads Republican challenger Jim Huffman 51% to 31%. 5% of those asked say they would prefer another candidate, while another 9% remain undecided. In June, Wyden slipped below the 50% level of support, and held just a 10-point lead over Huffman. Rasmussen said any incumbent who earns less than 50% of the vote at this stage of a campaign is viewed as potentially vulnerable.
The survey of 750 likely voters was conducted on July 26th, and has a margin of error of +/- 4 percentage points.
