Heppner Teacher Sentenced On Sex Abuse Charges
SALEM, OR -- A former Heppner teacher has been sentenced to three years in prison after she pleaded guilty to having sex with two of her students. Wendy Cannin, 31, pleaded guilty to rape, sodomy and sexual abuse charges after admitting she had sex with two teenage boys while she was a teacher at Heppner High School. The Oregon attorney general's office says Cannin must also register as a sex offender after serving her sentence.
Cannin resigned shortly before her arrest last August.
