Thursday Fire Damages SE Bend Home

BEND, OR -- Firefighters were called to SE Bend Thursday morning, after smoke was reported coming from a garage wall. When crews arrived at 20351 Willopa Ct., they found a light amount of smoke coming from the north side of the house. Firefighters opened the wall and attic and extinguished the blaze. Roughly $5,000 in damage was reported to the building. Investigations said a nail used in recent construction work penetrated the main electrical service line within the stud space, sparking Thursday's fire.
