Three Taken The Hospital After Accident Near Hoodoo
BEND, OR -- Oregon State Police said three people were taken to the hospital Saturday morning following a two car accident near Hoodoo Ski resort. Troopers said Ruth Speaker, 71, Salem, was traveling westbound on Highway 20 when she lost control, crossed into oncoming traffic, and hit another car head-on. Speaker was taken to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend with serious injuries. Her two passengers were also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
None of the people in the other car were taken to the hospital.
OSP's investigation is ongoing, but the road conditions were described as icy at the time of the accident.
