Gas Tax Election
BEND, OR -- Ballots are due at 8 p.m. Tuesday for gas tax measures in three Central Oregon towns. Redmond, Sisters and Madras voters are all deciding on a three-cent per gallon tax on gas sold within city limits. City leaders have said the funds will be used for street repairs. Opponents have said the additional tax will hurt local gas stations.
