BEND, OR -- Bend-based Vulcan Power, has started drilling its first production geo-thermal well in Nevada. Plans are for the well to result in a 60 megawatt electric production facility.
Same stores sales for retailers jumped in February:
- Nordstroms up 10%
- Kohl's 8%
- Costco 9%
Strong overseas sales growth and increased gas prices boosted Costco's sales 11% and profits 25% to $299 million in the latest quarter. The company is trading at its 52 week high.
