Redmond Habitat For Humanity Back In Action
TEREBONNE, OR -- Volunteers with Redmond Habitat for Humanity are back to work for the first time in five years helping build a home in Terrebonne.
A ground breaking ceremony was held in January for the three story home. The Post family was selected last year to receive the home, which should be complete in the next four to six weeks, weather permitting.
"We're building it entirely with volunteers, obviously we get the specialty trades in there to do plumbing and electrical," said Scott Brown, construction manager.
Looking beyond the Terrebonne project, Redmond Habitat for Humanity is going through the permit process with four lots on Obsidian in Redmond.
"We hope to get started in the next two to three months, but we need donations to get these projects going," Brown said.
Brown understands that times are tough to give financially, so if you cannot make a cash donation, perhaps another option is to donate furniture, appliances or lumber to their Re-Store.
