BEND, OR -- Salem based McGrath's Fish House has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company which employs over 1000 persons will continue operations as it reorganizes.
Timber REIT Plum Creek Timber posted a quarterly profit of $28 million on a 44% decrease in sales. The Company gave a rosy forecast and projected improving timber prices and better land sale activities.
Portland Bootmaker LaCrosse Footwear doubled their 4th quarter profit to $2.3 million on a 21% increase in sales. The company issued a special cash dividend of $1 per share payable on March 18th.
