NBA Admits Referees Missed Calls During Finals Game 2

FREDERIC J. BROWN/AFP/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — The referees flubbed a few crucial plays at the end of Game 2 of the finals, the NBA now admits.

With the series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors tied 1-1, the league has released its review of the game officials that shows several missed calls during the last two minutes of Game 2 Sunday night.

Among the missed calls, the report says, were two fouls against LeBron James, including Warriors forward Andre Iguodala making contact with James’ arm on a shot during overtime, and Draymond Green grabbing James’ shoulder hindering his ability to jump.

Green should have also been called for making contact with Tristan Thompson’s arm during the opening tip of overtime, according to the NBA’s review.

The report also says James traveled, moving his pivot foot before shooting, but the referees did not call it.

The Warriors and Cavs will face-off in Cleveland for Game 3 Tuesday night. It will air on ABC at 9 p.m. ET.
