Deschutes County OKs $306M Budget

BEND, OR — By a two-to-one vote this week, the Deschutes County Commissioners approved a $306 million budget for 2015.  That represents a roughly 6% year-over-year increase.

The County Commission slashed the budget during the height of the recession.  Supporters say this budget inches Deschutes County closer to providing pre-2008 service levels.  Commissioner Tony DeBone, the lone opponent, said he would like to see tax cuts and similar services.
