BEND, OR — Early Tuesday morning, the Deschutes National Forest lifted most closures put in place when the Two Bulls Fire broke out earlier this month. Roughly 1/2 a mile of Mrazek Trail on the Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District will remain closed to allow for trail repair following firefighting efforts. Signs will be in place to reroute trail users onto forest roads around the closure.
Additionally, the Bearwallow firewood area has been re-opened for firewood removal. The general area and all roads previously in the closure area are open to the public. DNF officials said the public should continue to use caution in the burned areas of the forest.
