(NEW YORK) — The Cleveland Cavaliers selected shooting guard Andrew Wiggins out of Kansas with the first pick of the 2014 NBA Draft on Thursday night.
Wiggins averaged 17.1 points per game and 5.9 rebounds and was the Big 12 Freshman of the Year.
The Milwaukee Bucks selected Jabari Parker with the second overall pick.
The Philadelphia 76ers took a chance with their third overall pick on former Kansas center Joel Embiid, who suffered a foot injury prior to the draft and watched from home as his name was called by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
The Orlando Magic selected Aaron Gordon out of Arizona with the fourth overall pick and the Utah Jazz went Down Under and selected Dante Exum out of Australia.
