PORTLAND, OR — A nanny accused of leaving a toddler and month-old baby in a minivan while she visited a Portland tanning salon pleaded not guilty to Child Neglect, Criminal Mistreatment and other charges in Multnomah County court. Investigators said Kristin Jones, 23, Oregon City, left the two small children in the vehicle with temperatures around 80 degrees. A police officer was removing the children from the hot car as Jones exited the tanning salon May 14th.

A judge told her Friday that she can't work as a nanny, and is to have no unsupervised contact with children, as she awaits trial.
