County Presentation Highlights Sisters Developments

SISTERS, OR — Deschutes County delivered a “State of the County” presentation to the Sisters Chamber of Commerce Tuesday morning, highlighting economic development and other issues.

Chamber member Erin Borla says the meeting went over positive changes in Sisters.

“We have of course the Cascade Avenue Street Skate Project, there’s still some finishing touches they’re working on throughout the summer, and that’s going to end this year, so that’s very exciting," Borla said. "We have a new park in here called First Street Park that will be opening here in the next few weeks."

Several partners, Deschutes County, St. Charles, Advantage Dental, and a few other folks have come together [for the School-Based Health Center]. That’s a very exciting project and the County’s really done a great job taking a lead on that.”

The meeting was part of a monthly presentation series hosted by the Sisters Chamber of Commerce.
