BEND, OR — Three hikers were rescued from the Mirror Lake area Sunday evening, after they lost their trail.
One of the three women called 911 around noon to report they could not find their way back to the Mirror Lake trailhead, located north of the Cascade Lakes Highway. She said they were prepared for the hot weather, but not ready to stay outdoors overnight. The three were advised to stay put.
Eight members of the Deschutes County Search and Rescue team responded to the area. After several hours of searching, the three women were found. They made it back to the trailhead under their own power.
