SALEM, OR — Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will add about 24,000 fish to Diamond Lake in the coming weeks. ODFW fish biologist Laura Jackson told KBNW News the fish being stocked are legal and trophy-sized rainbow trout.
“Plus, the 275,000 fingerlings that we already stocked this summer. Those are the ones that will grow and be a big part of the fishery next year.”
Jackson added summertime anglers will have the most success fishing cooler waters in the deeper parts of the lake.
