Grandpa Rescues Twins From Salem RV Fire

SALEM, OR — Family members say a grandfather went back into the burning camper to save two 11-year-old twin grandchildren.  Chris Laing is recovering in a Portland hospital from 2nd– and 3rd-degree burns to his arms and blisters on his head and feet.  Four people were sleeping in the Salem RV when there was a boom early Thursday morning and the vehicle burst into flames.

The family thinks the fire started at the propane tank.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
