BEND, OR — A Tuesday afternoon kitchen fire heavily damaged a NE Bend home. Crews were called to NE Pacific Crest Dr. around 2:30 p.m. They snuffed out the flames quickly, but not before $40,000 in damage was done to the kitchen and the items inside. Investigators said a faulty connection between the oven and the gas line sparked Tuesday fire.
Bend Fire reminds all residents to evacuate a home or building when a fire breaks out, and call 911 as soon as possible.
