Bridge 99 Complex Continues To Expand

072114 99 BridgeSISTERS, OR — The Bridge 99 Complex burning near Camp Sherman continues to grow.  The lightning-sparked blazes have now burned 5,310 acres.  Firefighters said Sunday’s growth was reported in the north.  Crews were successful in continuing to secure the southern part of the fire line along Forest Road 14, east of the Metolius River.

Many of the education notices issued by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office late last week remain Monday morning:

  • A Level Three Evacuation Notice for private lands along the Metolius River Thursday, stretching from Allen Springs Campground to Lake Billy Chinook.
  • A Level Two Evacuation Notice was given for the Three Rivers Subdivision.
  • A Level One Evacuation Notice was issued for the Rim Park, Forest Park and Air Park subdivisions, along with the Cove Palisades State Park.
