PRINEVILLE, OR — While the Pine Creek Complex continues to grow, firefighters say they are nearing containment. The four fires that make up the Pine Creek received varying amounts of rain Wednesday.
The Donnybrook Fire southwest of Antelope has burned 22,763 acres and is 80% contained. The Black Rock Fire near Clarno has burned 35,731 acres and is 85% contained. The Pine Creek Fire has burned 30,245 acres south of Fossil and is 80% contained. And the Jack Knife Fire southeast of Grass Valley, which is completely contained, has burned 13,263 acres.
All together the Pine Creek Complex has burned 102,002 acres.
