Netflix(NEW YORK) — Orange Is the New Black star Natasha Lyonne, who portrays recovering drug addict Nicky, is up against two co-stars — Laverne Cox and Uzo Aduba — in the outstanding guest performance category at the Emmys. Have the actresses made a pact in case one of them wins?
“Yes, they’ve agreed that if they win they’ll dedicate the award to me. I’ve made it clear I will not do the same if I win,” Lyonne quipped to People magazine. “No, no pacts yet. We’re just so thrilled as a group at the 12 nominations. We’re all just cogs in the wheel.”
Being that it’s her first time being nominated for an Emmy, Lyonne admitted she’s a tad nervous, especially about what she plans to wear. “I hope that I look good. Honestly, I’m not going to lie, I really hope I don’t blow it. And if I do blow it, I hope it’s in such a mediocre way that nobody notices,” she said. “…I want people to say, ‘Oh my God, you look so great and comfortable!’ At this point in my life, it’s very important for me to be able to walk in my shoes.”
The ladies are already filming season three of Orange Is the New Black, but Lyonne isn’t revealing any spoilers. Instead, she told the magazine just three words: “So much bloodshed.”
The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Seth Meyers, will be held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Monday, Aug. 25. NBC will air the ceremony live.
