Bethlehem Inn Awarded $5K From SCHS

St.Charles.check.presentation.7.22.14BEND, OR — The Bethlehem Inn, recently announced it had been awarded a $5,000 grant from the St. Charles Health System in support of the Inn’s Families First Program.

“We are honored and very excited to have been selected for this critical funding support from the St. Charles Health System” stated Gwenn Wysling, Executive Director of the Inn.  “The Inn currently partners with St. Charles to ensure access to healthcare is available for the underserved, disadvantaged adults in our community.  This grant represents a financial level of general operating support for the segment of our program serving families experiencing homelessness.”

The Bethlehem Inn provided shelter, food and support to 754 individuals and children last year, and over 67,000 meals were served to those in crisis.

Annual Rhubarb Festival

This event started in La Pine at L & S Gardens. Upon the retirement of Linda she graciously passed the event on to the La Pine Senior Activity Center.  Each year the community, gathers with everything Rhubarb.
