BEND, OR — Oregon State Police troopers said a Klamath Falls man injuries in a last July traffic crash died Sunday at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.
On July 24th, two pickup trucks collided head on along Highway 140 in Southern Oregon. Emergency crews had to extricate both drivers. John Gilman, 41, Klamath Falls was taken to the local hospital and then flown to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend with critical injuries. He died of those injuries August 3rd.
Investigators said it appears Gilman’s truck made a left turn in front of an on-coming pickup, causing the two vehicle crash. The driver and passenger in the second pickup, a couple from California, suffered minor injuries.
Troopers say Gilman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
