BEND, OR — State Department of Transportation crews closed the Highway 97 Romaine Village Way exit south of Bend Monday morning. ODOT officials said the closure is needed as the new 3rd St. on-ramp to southbound Highway 97 conflicts with the existing roadway. The emergency egress will still be provided at Romaine Village Way.
The $27 Million Highway 97-Murphy Road project is a combined effort with the city of Bend to increase the east-west connectivity and eliminate two sets of traffic signals.
