Apple Posts Tribute to Robin Williams, Creates iTunes Store Section of His Work

ABC/Randy Holmes(NEW YORK) — Apple posted a tribute to Robin Williams on Wednesday, posting a statement to the company website and creating a new section in the iTunes Store called “Remembering Robin Williams.”

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Robin Williams,” the company statement reads. “He inspired us through his passion, his generosity, and the gift of laughter. He will be greatly missed.”

Within the iTunes Store, the “Remembering Robin Williams” section compiled a number of the late comedian’s movies, stand-up acts and television shows.

A description of the section notes that Williams won an Oscar, an Emmy and a Grammy, in addition to his “mile-a-minute comic energy” and his stature as a “generous philanthropist.”
