BEND, OR — Last week, the Mountain View Cougar football team participated in a community service project, helping the Bend Area Habitat For Humanity.  Mtn. View football players cleaned up local housing lots that had become overgrown.  On top of the cleanup, players helped Habitat get ready to move into their new store at 224 NE Thurston Ave.

“The Mtn. View Football Program is committed to excellence and has won the IMC Championship seven out the last eight years, including  a state championship in 2011,” said Wayne Purcell.  “In addition to athletic competition, the coaches and players feel it is important to give back to the community.  The Habitat For Humanity project was a great opportunity to do that.”
