Texans Bring Back Safety Danieal Manning

National Football League(NEW YORK) — Even though he left the team via free agency this offseason, veteran safety Danieal Manning is back with Houston Texans.

The Texans had originally offered Manning a pay cut following last season, but he declined and instead opted for free agency. He signed a contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Manning wound up getting cut by the Bengals, and decided to reunite with his old team.

“Health-wise he’s perfect,” Manning’s agent, Russel Hicks said. “He may be in better shape than when he left. His leg was fine. He was cleared to play. He played all four [preseason games]. It just wasn’t good fit for him in [Cincinnati]. It was a numbers game. It happens like that. The right fit for you is the right fit for you.”

The 32-year-old Manning is an eight-year NFL veteran who can still contribute to an NFL team. He battled injuries last season and appeared in just six games, recording 24 tackles.
