Helen Sloan/courtesy of HBO(NEW YORK) — Lena Headey’s nude scenes for an upcoming episode of Game of Thrones came with quite the price tag.
According to TMZ, producers shelled out $50,000 a day to shoot the scene in secrecy. More than 200 guards were reportedly hired to guard the set while Headey filmed the famous “Walk of Shame” scene. In the scene, Headey’s character, Cersei Lannister, walks completely naked out of a church and through town.
The four-day shoot in Croatia racked up a large bill partly to cover the cost of the added crew, but also to pay local shop owners to shut down and leave the area for the duration of filming. Cell phones were banned on set and everyone present was forced to sign confidentiality agreements. TMZ managed to get their hands on a couple of innocuous photos, though.
The entire nude scene was almost called off completely after church leaders banned producers from shooting the scene at the Church of St. Nicholas in Dubrovnik. The shoot was moved to another part of town.
