Benedict Cumberbatch to Voice The Grinch in New Animated Film

The star of the forthcoming Doctor Strange will voice the Dr. Seuss character in a new animated feature based on How the Grinch Stole Christmas.  The news was revealed Wednesday by Illumination Entertainment at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Deadline reports.

The film will open in November of 2017. Illumination also said South Park‘s Trey Parker will voice the villain in Despicable Me 3.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange opens in theaters November 4. Marvel is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
