Deschutes County deputy recovering after pickup slams into patrol car

A Deschutes County sheriff’s deputy is recovering after a pickup truck slammed into his patrol car near La Pine.

Deputy Bryan Morris has minor injuries.

The pickup driver isn’t hurt.

Police say the truck slid on icy Day Road yesterday morning and hit the patrol car, causing it to slam into a utility pole.

The pickup driver wasn’t cited.
