On 11/05/19, at about 5:54pm, 9-1-1 Dispatch received a call from Trudy Lowery, reporting her friend, Marion Price, had not returned from a hike she went on earlier in the day.  Price, who resides in the Eagle Crest subdivision of rural Redmond, OR, set out on a hike in a large open area west of her residence.  Price had her Beagle mix dog with her as well as Lowery’s Border Collie mix dog and was last seen at about 3:15pm.  Lowery described Price as a healthy 75 year old female, but could not describe what she was last seen wearing.  Price left her cell phone at her residence and was not believed to have a light source with her.  It is unknown if she was dressed for the lower temperatures expected overnight.

Five Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the area and began searching for Price.  15 DCSO Search and Rescue Volunteers also responded to assist with the search.  The DCSO SAR Volunteers included ground searchers, UAS operators with FLIR capability as well as one SAR K9 team.  The search continues at this time.  Anyone who has information as to the whereabouts of Ms. Price should call the non-emergency dispatch line at 541-693-6911.
