Please join us for the 37th Annual Umpqua River clean-up! Normally, Umpqua
Watersheds would be organizing teams of people in various spots along the
Umpqua River, providing bags and coordinating pick up of the bags. Because of
the Covid-19 pandemic we will not be able to organize and meet with groups.
We are kindly asking for volunteers to help during the week of September 19 – 27
to clean up the shores of the Umpqua River from the Headwaters to the Sea.
There is a lot of trash that needs to be removed before river levels go up with the
coming winter rains.
We are asking people to take their own trash bags to the river and pick up trash
and dispose of it on their own at the landfill or in an approved dumpster. Please
share your pictures of your river cleanup activities and send them to
Janice@umpquawatersheds.org and we will put together a collage of the pictures
and share them on our website and social media platforms.
Please avoid areas impacted by recent fires and stay safe. Together we can make
a big difference. Thank you!
