On October 2 and 3, the organization Street Dog Hero, is running a low-cost spay/neuter clinic at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds that is expected to spay and neuter 150 local dogs and cats. A variety of other health and wellness services will also be available to pets being spayed or neutered including low-cost vaccines, flea/tick prevention, microchipping and nail trims.

Street Dog Hero’s upcoming outreach also includes a partnership with Fences for Fido to bring free spay/neuter services, a wellness clinic and pet food bank to the Warm Springs community in October. Warm Springs has been without spay/neuter resources for more than five years. SDH extends its gratitude for the opportunity to be of service.

In addition to resuming its international rescue efforts in 2022, Street Dog Hero will continue serving its neighbors in Central Oregon. The organization’s 2022 plans include hosting clinics in Christmas Valley and LaPine as well as returning to both Madras and Warm Springs.
