COCC Showcases High Desert Art League Exhibition

Mt. Bachelor Reflection by Jan Dow.

Central Oregon Community College’s Barber Library Rotunda Gallery is displaying the work of the High Desert Art League, Sept. 16 through Dec. 6, in an exhibition titled “The Best of the High Desert Art League,” highlighting premier work by 11 member artists in various mediums. The library will hold a reception with refreshments from 4-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24. For complete gallery hours, visit the Barber Library’s webpage at cocc.edu/library.

The show includes paintings, prints and mixed-media by Pamela Beaverson, Helen Brown, Barbara Hudler Cella, Jan Dow, Janet Frost, Liz Haberman, Jacqueline Newbold, Vivian C. Olsen, Janice Rhodes, Rebecca Sentgeorge and Joren Traveller.

“This amazing group of professional artists continues to create the most incredible work,” said League President Janet Frost. “Although many of us are affiliated with various galleries and associations, High Desert Art League shows pull our creative wonders together into one show as a unique collective exhibit. The Barber Library’s Rotunda is a wonderful venue for our show, with easy accessibility and a welcoming beautiful exhibit space.”

The High Desert Art League was formed in 2000 as a professional artist group working to support the advancement of its member artists through exhibitions, education and related outreach. Learn more at highdesertartleague.com.
