One Person Killed In NW Oregon Accident

072514.fatal.hwy30_mp94.1ASTORIA, OR — Oregon State Police troopers say one person was killed in a two car accident east of Astoria Friday morning.  Investigators said Michelle Lynn Fletcher, 38, Longview, WA was westbound on Highway 30 when she crossed a double yellow line and struck an oncoming vehicle.  In Fletcher was flown to a Portland hospital with serious injuries.  An unidentified passenger in her pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver and passenger of the second vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital in Astoria.

Highway 30 was closed for nearly four hours Friday, and reduce to one lane for another two hours, as crews responded.
