ESPN: Rangers Agree to One-Year Deal with John Moore

Francois Lacasse/NHLI via Getty Images(NEW YORK) — The New York Rangers agreed to a one-year, $850,500 deal with restricted free agent defenseman John Moore Thursday, according to ESPN.com.

The 23-year-old played in 74 games for the Rangers last season recording four goals and 11 assists. He also played in 21 games in the Blue Shirts’ run to the Stanley Cup Final.

Moore joined Kevin Klein as the third defensive pairing for the Rangers last season. He also was part of the second power play unit.

Moore was selected with the 21st overall pick of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was traded to the Rangers at the 2013 deadline.
