BEND, Ore. — Bend Police officers arrested a heavily-armed man early Saturday morning after he caused a disturbance in an Awbrey Road neighborhood.
Bend PD received to a complaint of an intoxicated man with a flashlight yelling, screaming and damaging fences on Awbrey Road near Portland Avenue.
A second caller reported that the man was near their home, pacing up and down the street with a flashlight wearing dark clothing.
Officers arrived to find Vitaliy Ivanov shining a handgun light into a home. The light was not attached to a weapon, but Ivanov was found to be carrying a concealed semi-automatic handgun and 4 loaded magazines.
Police later found 2 more loaded magazines and a can of pepper spray nearby.
Investigators have yet to determine why Ivanov was in the area or why he was damaging property.
