Holiday Traffic Safety Campaign

Bend, Ore. – The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office has begun participation in a statewide traffic safety campaign focusing on DUII enforcement during the 2014 holiday season. The campaign will run from December 12, 2014 through January 1, 2015. As part of the campaign, the sheriff’s office is currently increasing traffic patrols directly focusing on DUII related investigations.

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office along with the Oregon Department of Transportation encourages all drivers and passengers to make a conscious effort to use their seatbelt at all times while traveling in a motor vehicle regardless of the distance traveled. Furthermore, we encourage all drivers to drink responsibly. If drivers intend to drink, please plan ahead and use a designated driver, taxi service, or public transportation.

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office will be partnering with agencies throughout the State of Oregon for this campaign.
