(CINCINNATI) — The Cincinnati Bengals will have to win to hold onto first place in the AFC North when they host the Denver Broncos on Monday night.
Denver (11-3) has already clinched their division, but is seeking home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has tossed 15 touchdowns and thrown for 3,008 yards and has the utmost respect for his counterpart.
“Growing up I was watching [Peyton Manning] play,” Dalton said. “It’s fun to get to go against these guys, you definitely want to watch what they’re doing and see how they play.”
“He’s a guy that’s been one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game,” Dalton continued. “It’s cool to get to play against a guy like that.”
Manning and the Broncos are 4-3 on the road this year and would like to create some momentum as they head into the playoffs.
“This game means a lot to us, but it means a lot to them as well,” Manning said. “They’re playing at home, Monday Night Football, it’ll be a great atmosphere. It’s going to be rocking down there, both teams have a lot on the line.”
