Fuel Spill Impacts Bus Service And Local Traffic

Bend, Ore. – From Cascades East Transit: LOCAL FUEL SPILL IMPACTS BUS SERVICES TODAY – ROUTES 2, 3, & 11 TEMPORARILY CLOSED.

Due to the fuel spill that occurred in Bend today around noon, Routes 2 (Brookswood), 3 (Newport), and 11 (Galveston) are temporarily closed until streets affected by the spill are reopened.

CET Bend Dial A Ride is operating extremely slow due to traffic.

More info from Deschutes Co 911: A fuel spill from a train has forced closure of three streets in northeast Bend. Revere Avenue, Olney Avenue and Greenwood Avenue are closed at the railroad crossings, according to Deschutes County 911. Greenwood Avenue is closed at the railroad pass. Bend Police and the Bend Fire Department are working on cleanup and traffic control.
