Among the most pressing topics of conversation during the trip was the training of moderate Syrian rebels. On Saturday, the Pentagon said that that training could involve as many as 1,000 U.S. troops.
On Sunday, the U.S. delegation laid a wreath in memory of the victims of the terror attacks in Paris earlier this month at Yad Vashem, a world center for Holocaust research in Jerusalem. Following a tour of the facility, McCain visited with members of the Israeli Defense Forces. The delegation also met with Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah.
