Prineville, Ore. – The Crook County Fire and Rescue Department officials say a two-story home was heavily damaged last night by a fire Friday night in the Juniper Canyon area near Prineville.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

Crews were dispatched shortly after 9 p.m. to the house fire, including three engines, two water tenders and an ambulance. It reportedly was on Tillamook Circle.

Arriving firefighters found flames burning through the roof of the home, Smith said, and the fire caused “extensive damage.”
